ForexMorningTrade System

Wiseambitions, do you switch over to the 1 minute chart when close to T/P and close manually then, like you did the other day, or do you move the S/L up, I use the 1 Minute chart after B/E has triggered and set a mental level and if it drops below then I close out manually - Only for April, don't try this at home lol

I had no choice, I trade with the EA only because at 6:45 London time it is 1:45 am. where I live so manual trading this system is not a good option for me.

cheers !

I sometimes think I'd be better off in bed, and just accept FMT's EA to run it for me, rather mull over what might or might happen based on my assessment of the charts - after all, its record is better than mine! If I wasn't placing the trades at the moment manually, I think I might be catching up with my zzzzzzz's:sleep:

I tried all sorts this morning, having set a TP of 10 due to my worry about the thing spiking.

I managed to jack it up to 12 and thought about going for a bit more which would have been ok, but my connection wasnt quick enough to make the amendment before I hit the previous limit and got closed out. Not that I'm complaining.

But yes I do like to watch a 1 or 2 minute chart and use the parabolic SAR to get a picture of the way the market is breathing.

Morning all, I wonder if the guy the other day said to not trade April and August is going to be right... I do not imagine traders having holidays in April, but maybe someone who works in a trade company can detail us more about this. That could explain why these weeks we are not reaching 35TP.

Today +3 (0,35%)

I'm still in , and we're off upwards again - might get it yet! My 6.15 on demo account already hit it at 7.15 and the 6.30 and 6.45 are still running (EA with Hammy 66 settings). Anyway, off at conference for 2 days, so will miss tomorrow live, but my EA demo will still be working, All the best for in the morning!

I think there are merits in his argument but remember that his findings were based on the 40/40, no BE rule and as we have seen its not been a great month so far for this setting. The 35/20/40 setting has yet to yield a winner or a loss so its not like FMT is not getting direction correct for the majority of this month. Perhaps its best to make a mental note for next year that April should be traded with the 30/20/40 rule as this result has so far proved profitable.

Although very content with the Standard settings, I will probably do this for the month of August as well as reduce risk per trade purely becuase we have not seen FMT inAction during this month and WE ALL KNOW its TRADER HOLIDAY month.

Guys, got a question to those veteran MT4 traders, as you know I am new 'ish' to MT4 and have traded Oanda's web based platform since 'granny fell off the bus', one thing that's great about Oanda is that you can click on the S/L and T/P on the chart and move it manually. However, you can't do it with MT4 or have a missed something. If you can't is there a program that one can install to combat that. Must be a scalpers nightmare having to click boxes every time you want to move the T/P or S/L :)

Yes trading off the charts is not possible in MT4 and you have to open up the order window to adjust the SL and TP. This is one of the main reasons the real scalpers don't use them. The only way to get around are the EA's. But again they are good if you have fixed SL, TP and trailing stops otherwise you have to edit the values which again takes time.

PS: By the way how was your experience with chart trading at Oanda, I have heard some stories of charts freezing up and not able to move your SL and TP.

Hi
the Lukton Visual Order Editor ea allows you to set tp & sl levels. also allows you to drag those levels up & down on screen whilst you're in the trade
