Bad day to trade breakouts in the afternoon. All the action happened in the morning and then all the volume completly dried up. I think other setups should be used in these market condition (ie. fade the breakouts, or don't trade at all)

The spreads were huge (5 ct - 10 ct) too, which made it difficult to bailout without a huge loss.

When I look at my watch list, I see that GMCR made a nice breakout to the lows, and TRIP and CERN to the highs.
Other stocks were already broken out early in the morning session (like SHLD, MNST, DECK, UBNT, BIIB, LQDT (huge move), or didn't do anything all day.

TRIP were a near the previous day high, so I waited until this high were taken out. Got out quickly after the fast run up.
