Why not 50% a day or even 50% every hour?

Because you are talking bs! You think you are funny with your comment but you are not! Someone asks a question, you don't have the answer for him so you make a fool of him, but I think you are the fool in this thread!

50% a day will only happen once or twice a year...

50% a month yes its possible, not even that difficult! But not for everyone!

Well, the OP is only starting out and have no track record. So he should aim slightly lower. For the more experienced people with their momentum systems that have edges, I'd suggest +50% every half an hour.

And you can add to the club of.....

Well, I finished June with 55.9% but again it's history now. What I need to to is to be 100% disciplined to follow my trading rules and plan all the time which is a huge challenge for any human.

Doing 50+% in a month is easy, doing it consistently for many months is tough.
