Boiler Room Scams

Thanks for the quick response Lee. Could you check out the website for me and give me ur thoughts.

I'll be more specific. Bridgehall Stockbrokers, Gracechurch Street... Here's the website link: Bridge Hall Stockbrokers Ltd - Welcome

Thanks

These guys are fine and your money is protected upto the given amount under FSA guidelines.

To check them out, the first line on their page quotes:

Bridge Hall Stockbrokers Limited is an independent stockbroking company, with offices based in the heart of the City of London and in Altrincham, Cheshire. We are authorised and :!:regulated by the Financial Services Authority.:!:

To check and confirm use the FSA register:

FSA Register

Type in the name of the firm then see if they are or not. In this case they are but still check for yourself as I could easily be a scammer trying to get your money.

Thanks. Of course u could be... But just because the firm is FSA regulated it doesnt mean it is completely legit... There are plenty of firms that are fsa regulated that are no better than the spanish spank shops...

Ok mate, you know best.

This is clearly a statement.

You need to find out exactly what the FSA is and what it's set up for. When you know this you wont come out with insulting/silly comments like the FSA register firms that are 'no better than a spanish spank shop'.

It would seem you have a lot to know first before putting your money anywhere, including u.k banks.

Good luck.

Thank you for your enlightening opinion on my investment experience Lee and thank you for your wise words on Bridge Hall. Yes i am new to all this, but remember you were too at some point.

My comments were not directed at all FSA reg firms. Just the unfortunate few who don't believe in TCF and 'invest and burn' clients' money.

Regards.

Sure, I hear what your saying but also its good to remember that new people ask questions, they dont make statements about things they do not know. I myself still ask many questions every day in my career and I only make statements about things I have knowledge on, I also use this same approach when talking in general, face to face or on the net.

Good luck with your research.

Does anyone have any knowledge of a British company called ON-Communications?
Regards.

ATSSpecialists

Hello Lee
You seem to be so knowledgable (not being facetious). Would you by any chance know anything about ATS. I bought shares in 2006 (my husband did with our life savings) via Oxbridge International Ltd. I have been sending emails to ATS which are being returned as the inbox is too full. So I phoned them on the number which is on their Website( I did once before and did speak to Daniel Greenberg or a guy that said he was:) I now get
a recording saying " This is the Senate Executive Center " Alarm bells are now ringing.
even louder then before. I have never been happy with the whole set-up but my stupid husband was taken in by a guy called Andrew Richardson, a proper Svengalli who worked for Oxbridge. Anyway could you kindly tell me what I can possibly do now. I am a novice at all this. Is there anyone else, there must be,who has bought shares of ATSSpecialists?:( Hope to hear from you. many thanks Scorpio11 x

Yo dude,

I have covered this in a previous post with more detail but feel its quicker to repost as best I can as trying to find it will take up more time.

Oxbridge International Ltd is not registered by the FSA and we have been previously warned in Nov 2005.

Check out: http://www.fsa.gov.uk/pages/Doing/Regulated/Law/pdf/oxbridge_22nov05.pdf

The ATS Specialist 'shares' you have are worth more as tissue paper, the shell is a representation of an anti terror and security expert division when at this time in our history we have the need to feel protected from TERROR, it's a scary word but not half as threatening as the word...SCAMMED.

Sorry dude, it ain't good.

Next time as advice given is not to buy from cold callers, do your due diligence and if in doubt, go without.

My husband bought some shares in ON-Communications and we have been on their website, and they look as if they are a legit and progressive company, could you help confirm this to put our minds at rest. Thanking you

As per my post above, be more specific, who sold you them, when and ISIN or website details or share numbers ect.

I need details to be able to help.

Cant help you with that one, that would be like me saying to you I have a piece of toilet paper, can you verify it's worth.

The best way to figure out their value is to try and sell them. You will find that you can't.

What you dont want to do is be suckered in to paying more money to these (or similar) scammers that will charge you a nice sum of your cash to 'flog' them for you or exchange them for other worthless shares.

See a film called 'boiler room', it has a lot of swearing in it and little violence/action or blood. It features Ben affleck and Vin Diesel, if you know of these film stars. It shows with great precision how they operate and although just for entertainment purposes only, rings many true events.

Sorry scorpio, I know you dont want to here it and sometimes denial can be bliss but you have been scammed by Oxbridge International Ltd. They are a boiler room operation and scam everyone they have met.

YOU HAVE BEEN SCAMMED.

This means your money has been lost in its entirety.

Thank you Lee not what I wanted to hear but I think you are right. I feel so sad £40,000 is not a little money My kids could have had it rather then the scum bags. My Dumbo husband I think knows the truth that he was scammed big time. I am a good Christian and don't wish evil on Mr Andrew Richardson( Oxbridge Analyst) but Karma will give him what he deserves.Thank you again Scorpio!!

RE ATS Specialists

Hi Lee

The company was ATS Specialists Inc
Registered in Florida
I bought 10k of shares USD 50k (US5 per share) in July and June 2006
Address (though only from their web site):
13899 Biscayne Boulevard, Suite 141
North Miami Beach , FL 33181

Any help with this would be appriecated.
Hello anything I'm so glad I have found this thread and someone besides us that have bought ATS shares via Oxbridge International. (Lee Shepherd has been most helpful.)
I hope you don't mind me getting in touch but please may I ask, have you been able to get in touch with ATS all my emails are being returned and the telephone number now has an answering service that takes you through several menus and no one ever answers and then finally you get "the message box is full " Have you any good news on this company?? I have been worrying, my husband bought £40.000 worth of shares in January 2206, Andrew Richardson was the Analyst that convinced my husband this was the next Google. I think I will divorce him if this is a scam. Please reply....Kind Regards Scorpio11
