He won't get that to start. Will need to do quite a bit of time before Captaincy. Other airlines with more family-friendly work patterns pay much less. BA long haul ok if you like spending time down the route and living out of a suitcase. But you're right - it's good money for upmarket bus driving!

Cardiff is a fairly nice historical city IMHO. Have been there once for the football, and was impressed by how cosmopolitan it was, with a big ethnic mix, lots of restaurants etc....Not as good as my favourite UK city though - Edinburgh.

EDIT: in Cardiff i remember seeing a man and woman blatantly shagging in the most open of streets, in a square, near the bus or train station, sat on a park bench, legs astride :eek:

I'd happily sit on a nice beach, in the shade under my parasol, with an ice box full of refreshing cool soda's, renting out pedaloes....
 
This thread has reminded me about a reality TV series/documentary on sky - Manhattan and the Beach. About rich high flying tycoons living in NY and going to the hamptons on their days off. I found it quite entertaining. It was around 2000-2001 time when it was first shown. Anyone else see it?
 
I'd probably just squander all the new freedom by posting on a trading forum or something. Maybe I could eventually fulfil my ambition of being a moderator on this site!

When I get bored with trading I will start up a dirty lads mag, I've been sat on this idea for ages and believe it could bring women, freedom, a big crib and I could sit around my pad all day in my bath robe and also turn it into a t.v series.

The mag will be called Fun man and I will call the women rabbit girls. Never know, could catch on.
 
Ideas -

Open a lap dancing club
Open a tennis club
Cut the grass on a golf course
Work in a ski resort doing something windswept & interesting
Provide specialist sports Coaching in schools
Run a cocktail bar on the beach/hire out pedaloes, with bikini clad women all around
Be a life guard on a bikini clad beach
Be a male lapdancer/stripogram
Be a jigalo to fit women only
etc. etc.

For me, there's not one single job that could permanently satisfy me, as far as i know. The ability and means to be able to work on a "project" for 3 months here, 3 months there, 3 months holiday and then 3 months here, would be what would do it for me, i think, for a while anyway.
