    uk alternative to the er2

Upto a week or so ago you'd have been amazed - they've only just added Eurex believe it or not, and it's data only for now, you've got to trade through someone else! TS symbol is FDAXZ06 for current month.

    uk alternative to the er2

I've been thinking the same thing lately (about my working hours) and have started looking a the DAX as a replacement for the ER2. I've not started trading it yet but it looks like the stuff I use on the Russell would work even better on the DAX. I'm hoping to make the move in the next week or...

    New Trend for Gold?

He he .... You might be right about the long term, but then who here is interested in the long term? For now at least, gold is on the up so the easy 'short term' money is on the long side. It's a matter of finding direction from the daily chart & then drilling down for entries. Simon

    Currency trading (Oct 30th > Nov 3rd)

My feed is only showing 6 consecutive updays prior to today - 2 more days of pain for shorts then?

    Day Trading Futures

I guess you can't argue with what works. It just shows there's more than one way to skin a cat - I prefer to look for low risk entries into an existing/developing trend rather than trying to pick ultimate turning points.

    New Trend for Gold?

Gold looks bullish to me - Mondays break (and close) above the trend line is the main factor & todays rise makes the H&S pattern look more convincing. I'm long from 605 and fancy a swift move up to about 640, although my exit will be dictated by a reversal on the hourly chart rather than any...

    Day Trading Futures

I still think you're shorting the euro too early. Although it may turn round I can't see any evidence of a reversal yet. As for Bonds & Gold ... did you really just say you're short?!?! Do you have a particular setup that has triggered these positions? Simon

    Day Trading Futures

I just think todays $ action is too strong (weak) to fight - I fancy a long on the ER2 though - in at 767.70. Would have posted a little sooner if it wasn't for those pesky trick or treaters!

    Day Trading Futures

With the USD getting hammered on all fronts I wouldn't have thought now was the right time to be buying it - you're swimming against the tide on that one! (but great thread - keep it up) Simon

    Interesting Article

Thanks Damian, that's a very good article. How can we, as traders, use deliberate practice then? I would say that 2 things we talk about regularly could be included in a deliberate practice regime: 1 - Sticking to our trading plan day in, day out; 2 - Maintaining a trading diary/journal. Is...
