What is going to happen at 5300 this time?

Took my profit at 5268. I expected this to fall further!!!!

Shorted this at 5288, moved sl to BE. Michigen index lower, when it was expected to show an improvement. Will start to trail my SL down.

Agree that the FTSE should be shorted, its just trying to find the right entry level. Personally its a difficlut call as the ftse is just following the DOW which is just following the $, so v,v difficult. I will look for a short again around the 5290-5300 level, if it gets there......

im losing the will to live today.....these markets appear to directionless. Is this the calm before the storm, or the calm before the calm?

Why is the FTSE still up when the DOW is well down? Will we play catch up when the US opens?

DIRTY? Excuse my ignorance but what does that imply?

Per my earlier post i decide to go short the FTSE on the basis of it looking like a double top formation , indicators in the overbought area, and the $ index moving up again to the 75.30 level. I am short from 5280 and have now moved my sl to be. Happy to leave it and see what happens.

What are folks thinking here on the FTSE? Personally i am feeling that we are in a bit of a no mans land, with the bulls and bears fighting it out. The bounce in the $ should be negative for the DOW paticularily if we hold the 75.3 level on the $index as pointed out by WS on his new website. My...

Just got in from the school run and walking the dog....so missed this movement, will watch and wait I think. The markets are undecided, so could see some whippy action, which i find difficult to trade. Might wait for the US figures today at 1.30 . Good luck today.

i am fairly sure the Stock markets are open. It is only governement entities that are required to close. It will be a quiet day though.
