The 08:03 figure is published each day in their archives at http://markets.ft.com/research/Markets/Data-Archive?report=HR&cat=EQ
Select Equities - FTSE hourly indices - the date - and hit download.
It's only day by day though, which will be a pain if you want a lot of back data, but it is...
The Financial Times keeps FTSE-100 data that states the open as 08:03. Daily highs and lows also ignore 08:00 to 08:02:59, to give the market a chance to actually open with all its 100 constituents at "real" prices. This gives opening gaps, of course.
MF Global are negotiable on fees, especially if you are a regular trader. I have used them for ages (including when they were Man Direct) and they have never disappointed.
Anyone who wants to trade an eMini S&P with less than $5,000 margin has not been around very long (or has a short memory). There is a reason for proper margins, and it's not just to annoy those with too little money to trade. It's to protect you fom owing the broker more than you have available...
I don't need validation from a beginner. I just joined the forum yesterday and I find this thread amusing.
Your obsession (360+ posts in a month) about failure is all your own and I'm happy to let you swim or drown in it. I won't pretend to understand your motives or drivers, and I'm also...
I was taught rally driving by Juha Kankkunen - a great teacher.

E.g. trying to teach others money management systems actually...
I ran a trading coaching business for several years - so I have tried. Some succeeeded - a few big time for a while (I lost track of them as they went off and did their own thing) - but there were so many who struggled due to lack of commitment, lack of capital (I tried to put those off even...
Yes, you need methodology and self discipline, but the latter is by far the more important. If I had to weight the two elements in terms of how crucial they are I would say 5%:95%.
To prove this I conducted a test that ran over two years, trading markets I had never even looked at before, never...
Hi Everyone,
I've just joined the forum this evening (actually looking for alternative data feed advice) but this thread made me chuckle.
I've been trading for a living since 1986 (mostly FTSE & S&P futures), and I do pretty well. I don't agree with some comments I read about this style or...
I'm looking for a good quality realtime feed that will cover main futures markets and indices / basic forex. However, due to my very rural location I will need to gain access via sateliite (UK).
Does anyone have any suggestions please other than the rather poor Morningstar?
