Classic trade, trader_d. Good work.

I like the no frills approach - it's price that's important, not indicators - and this should very well suit a long-term successful D1 strategy with minimal work and stress. Continuing to watch with interest.

Thanks tomorton.

Market is trending very well right now, a very easy period for this method. The challenge will be when market goes to a range-bound period.

Looking forward to see you in this journal again

Congrats trader d....very nice pippage there mate...

Ok so the trend has been parabolic....but you hung in there thro a couple of 100 + retracements...no easy task letting profits run...

After such a good run , maybe it was pushing it, for a third weekend... lol

Well done.

Good returns trader_d - I honestly hope it continues - but 'method' might be overstating it don't you think?

I've done my homework and calculated overall profit of all trades taken in this journal up to now. Details are included in attached image. Overall profit excluding today's buy order is 23.24%.

Please note that I've been lucky that market was in a very good trend last month and this result can't be considered as a correct measure of this method performance. IMHO these kind of trends happen once or twice a year. For a daily method like this, at least three year trading history is required to evaluate the method.

Hi trader_d - Can't tell if stupid PM system on this site is working so here is reply -

At moment I am trading the Big Ben strategy on FTSE100 and just starting it on GBP/USD. No indicators, just take price max/min range between 8 and 10am, then set a buy at the high and sell at the low, to ride the break-out for the day only. Child's play, low risk, and so far, like stealing money. See thread under UK Indices I think.

Longer term I have been cursed by reversals and false signals when swing trading the FTSE100 so am taking a sabbatical from anything held overnight to concentrate on rules to refine the Big Ben. Have tried many styles but none such consistently good payers as Big Ben.
