Bye

Just 2 days ago I went to Milan for an interview with these people. Brian was there along with two other british fellas.

The interview lasted approximately 30 mins; questions asked where sort of general, like WHY DO YOU WANNA BE A TRADER? or WHY DO YOU THINK YOU GONNA BE SUCCESSFUL AT TRADING?
The most difficult spot I was put in was when they presented two different scenarios to me and asked me to pick one:

1) After completing the 6-month training program together with other 9 traders, I finally begin trading with real money. The first year my P&L shows a remarkable $100,000 profit and I am ranked #1 amongst the 10 traders who completed the course.

2) In year two, my P&L increases to $120,000 but my ranking amongst traders falls to #5.

Which scenario do you like more and why?

I didnt hesitate a second to say #2. All I care about is my P&L, thats my bottom line and I could care less about what other traders in the same room do. If they outperform me, good for them as long as I am happy with the amount of money I am making. In addition, scenario #2 actually shows a 20% increase from the previous year, and that's what you looking for as a trader: improvement.

I was a bit disappointed when they refused to answer my questions. I wanted to learn more about their business and structure and how they think to be able to train some novice and make him competitive in only 6 months. Unfortunately they said they'll be glad to talk about figures once I am made an offer.

ETS is set up in the center of Milan; I saw some traders operating while walking into the interview room. It seemed like a fair environment to me, nothing fancy though. I had been on a the Merril Lynch trader floors in NYC and London before, so I couldnt really be impressed by something so much smaller.

For some reason my gut feeling tells me there is something fishy about this whole thing.

Is there anyone from UK who knows more about these people? And whats their interest in training novices and give em capital to play in the markets? If they are able to train people, I would assume they know how trade for themselves right? Why dont they just do it on their own avoiding the risk to put their capital in unsafe and unexperienced hands???

This whole thing dazzles me a little bit.

I don't know anything about this firm. There is however, nothing fishy about backing new traders and teaching or more accurately, letting them teach themselves how to trade with the firm's capital. It happens all the time. I'm not saying the firm is not fishy, I know nothing about them. I'm just saying that the situation with giving novices capital to trade is fairly common and profitable for the company in the end.

Why is it profitable for thys type of firms to have rookie traders play with the company's capital?

Is anyone doing this for a living? What amount of capital are rookie traders given at the beginning? And how are profits divided? 70% to the firm and 30% to traders?

help me

FSEITUN,

I stuck it through an online translator. Probably lost a bit in the translation:)

FSEITUN,

I revolt myself to you because with the English I go little all right. Also I went from them for a talk to August, that was like to the yours. Then some day does for a second talk. Brian c' was, but did not participate. In remuneration, besides two boys of the first talk there it was the person in charge. To the end I did some questions. They say that the site is in construction, that the seat is at London and that to want 140 traders to arrive to Milan within the end of the next year. Few day does recalled me dicendomi if I wanted participate in the period of training. Reading this forum I have some doubts. You have some novelty?

My name is Praniel Ladwa and I together with my colleagues are responsible for the program you discuss. I hope to add much needed fact to your discussion.

We are a proprietary trading arcade that specialises in training and managing traders. Our business model is new in Milan but has been tested and developed extensively (over several years I have had involvement to this end) around the world.

First, we offer training by experienced traders and trainers (3 mentors together have 36 years experience between them)

We offer a small salary to all new trainees for 5 of the first 6 months.

Our remuneration package is performance related and competitive. If this does not appeal I recommend you reconsider your chosen career path. Trading inherently deals with risk. If you are attracted to the substantial returns available within the trading umbrella you must realise the risk involved (this maybe in terms of time, money or just energy). Since we back our trainees the maximum financial downside or risk is the money you require to support yourself over and above the salary we pay you. This is because we are accountable to the clearing member for your losses should they occur. Call me biased but this is a unique opportunity for someone with no experience and no capital.

I am neither promoting nor demoting this company simply providing fact to what we do. What is interesting is that no-one on this thread has ever worked in or for the company. Are those of you doubting the company doing this to feel better about your rejection or doubting the opportunity ETS offers? If it is the former I have no time or respect for your comment. If it is the latter I am happy to discuss your thoughts. If you should have anymore questions please feel free to ask me on this thread.

Hi Praniel!
Thanks for answer me.
I'm really enthusiast to take part at ETS'training, because I want to have success and money from trading.
My only doubt was about the fact that I had no enough informations about this firm. Later I had excellent recommendations from Financialcareers, so my doubt disappeared.

P.S. I'm sorry for my awful English.

Trading is right for some people and not for others. I personally feel it is one of the best professions availible. I am very confident that anyone who takes the opportunity (if we offer it)will learn more about trading and themselves.

The website should be live within the next 2 weeks. www.enigmatradingservices.com
