Hi, has anyone heard of Oak Capital Management Ltd.

Their website is:
http://www.oakcm.com/

They charge £2,995 for a two week academic course. Then, they say they will take you onto their programme where you can split the profits.

I sent my CV and they have called me in for an interview... should I invest my money with them?

Can somebody give me advice?

Only thing I find strange is they registered themselves with a similar name of a Oaktree Capital Management Limited which is FSA regulated. However Oak Capital Management Ltd is not FSA registered.

Is this another scam or chop shop?

Please advise

The only way to be sure is to spend your own money and find out. It's much better than posting questions here and not getting the answer you wanted to hear.

Dear Mr Reed,

I run the training courses at Oak Capital Management Ltd.

A few points in reference to your post.

1. We run a 3month graduate training program in which successful graduates are remunerated by us.

2. We run an open access training program (AMP Course)centered around the teaching of market profile techniques as they can be applied to modern (electronic interface) markets. Any one may apply but there is still an interview process and a psychometric test must be taken. If you are accepted on to the program a fee is payable. It is not £2,995 for two weeks as you suggest but substantially less if you meet our entry criteria and the training is over 3 months.

3. If you had been in to see me for an interview you would know all this. I do not remember interviewing you and do not have your CV on record (unless you are using a pseudonym here on Trade 2win). If I have seen you for an interview or discussed our training courses on the phone with you then may I suggest that your memory of what we discussed is distinctly lacking.

Yours sincerely,
Stewart Roberts.

If your cheque clears for £3,000 then I think you'll find your CV is fine and you'll easily pass the interview :)

What percentage of your students (graduate and paid) are still trading company funds after 6 months? No excuses, you know the numbers.

Actually I'm asking for accurate information. You've ignored my question so I suppose people will draw their own conclusions about your success.

Poor attempt at online reputation management by the way.

These vendors are all scammers, can't even ask basic questions, but they are happy to steal people's money! It a JOKE!

AVOID OAK CAPITAL MANAGEMENT!

WHY CAN'T HE ANSWER THE QUESTION? HE CLEARLY POSTED AFTER IT, AND CLEAR AVOIDED IT!

OKAY CAPITAL MANAGEMENT ARE NOT TO BE TRUSTED! (n)(n)(n)

Oak Capital Management are one of the most dishonest and corrupt trading company I have ever come across. They take fees off people and the training that they give is poor. I personally completed a training course there and it was the biggest waste of time and money. I know other traders who thought that they had genuine positions there only to get turfed by Oak Capital after working for them with no pay or share of what they had earnt. Avoid this company at all costs! They are not even FSA regulated for obvious reasons, they are running a modern day equivalent of slave labour and preying on vulnerable people that think that they are fortunate to be getting an opportunity to trade in the city . In actual fact they get hardly any guidance and when there are losses you get interrogated even though you followed the strategies that you had been given by them. Please do not waste your time or energy on Oak Capital Management. Remember genuine and reputable companies will not ask you to pay them to train you if they think that you are competent.

Just for your guide I am David Kempton and a director of Oak Capital Management.
I do not have to hide behind a made up name.
Please contact me at our work email for any enquires, as the comments on here are quite laughable.
I wont be posting any further on here and wasting my time.

David

The very fact that you have responded shows that you clearly have too much time on your hands because most reputable company directors would not even waste their time responding to such a "laughable" post if there was indeed no need to defend yourself. Fact is people deserve to know the truth about Oak Capital so that they make informed decisions about getting involved with your company.

And as if anyone is going to get the naked truth about the company from one of the directors! Duh that makes a lot of sense doesn't it? I stand by what I say stay away from Oak Capital Management! There are several other posts saying how they ripped traders off surely they can't all be "laughable" rumours?! For those that are smart enough to see what's clearly obvious do not waste your time and money on this company.

scam
