"Newbies"

It is clear from all the flags that this is an international forum but I'm wondering if the term "Newbies" is actually an international (or INTERNETional) word. Is it a good idea to use that term in the Forum synopsis?

It is valid in the US, Australia, Canada, and Newbie Zealand.

That's what I thought. Apart form the US they are all mostly English speaking countries.

Apart from the US? We aren't an English speaking country?

That aside, I'm not sure what your point is. This forum is in English - regardless of where in the world someone is when the read it.

Eens zien of dit gaat werken per slot van rekening ben ik hier in juni vorig jaar in het nederlands begonnen. Het 2007 WIP draadje blijft lopen in het engels.

Eerst even samenvatten de LT heeft in Juli een short signaal gegenereerd en dit is nog steeds geldig. De MLT termijn heeft vorige week een Long gegenereerd welke ook nog steeds geldig is al is het eerste kruispunt waar beren en stieren elkaar de loef af proberen te steken nog niet in zicht. De KT heeft begin deze week een short signaal gegenereerd en is daarna uitgestopt op een kruising door de stieren. Momenteel geeft de KT aan dat een short aanstaande is. De KKT heeft deze week een Long gegenereerd net na de 503,14 en vervolgens al verschillende short signalen gegenereerd doch ze werden allen uitgestopt. Momenteel heeft de KKT weer een voorkeur voor een short signaal dat nog moet worden gegenereerd.

Vanuit verschillende invalshoeken mag de huidige AEX koers beschouwd worden als zijnde “op de wip”. Geen situatie om uitbundige posities op in te nemen aangezien doktuh Ben ook nog wat gaat zeggen wat beide kanten op kan vallen. Premieslurpers met hekkies.

My point was that it may be too much of a colloquial term. Like Fair Dinkum and Bonzer? Do you know what a bonzer deal is? Take a look a Sheila's wheels

I'm going to make an educated guess that Sheila's wheels are a lady's legs.

As for Dinkum and Bonzer, I'd be totally shooting in the dark.

In the case of newbie, though, it does at least include "new" in it to provide some measure of indication as to it's meaning. I think we're safe, especially give its use in context.

Ehm, my mother tongue is Dutch (the Belgian variant ), but I don't believe I've ever made a post in Dutch on trade2win.
