Hi

recently threads have been loading without any posts being displayed in them, both in IE7 & Moz. FF. I then go back to view new posts, and then i try to relook at the thread, and the posts usually load the 2nd time, but not always.

When I click on PKFFW's "Volume??" thread I see no posts, whether I click on the thread title or the 'no. of replies' link.

similar thing happening to the weekly fx thread for me when i click on the thread either from forum or user cp it opens up with the reply to post screen on half the page with the head of the page as the fx thread and no posts.

happens most of the time but not always. very weird and annoying...:(

I asked about this a day or two ago.
(you may find that the phrase "Read ds-serving.com" in bottom frame on the left".

reply:

"The ds-serving is part of a script from one of the ad servers that one or two of our clients force us to use. If their server is having delivery issues then it hangs the implementation script on the page, forcing the page to load slowly."

its a T2W techie issue, and is being addressed.

Hi folks.

Yes this is a bit of a problem that I know of. Unfortunately there isn't a whole lot we personally can do. As trendie has said, it's a problem with some of the adverts that are on the site being served by a third-party ad server. It seems that this server occasionally has delivery problems which results in our pages 'hanging'.

I'm trying to use this server less and less but my hands are a bit tied by some of the agencies that we're forced to use. I'll do my best to use it as infrequently as I can.

Sorry for any inconvienience it causes in the meantime, but refreshing should normally work.

Also, sometimes when i click on the reply buttom, the quick reply window sometimes does not open. I presume this is out of the same problem source basket.
This all adds up to delays, and lost time for us valuable members.

Yeah but, technically the whole country is spawned from our criminals who swam over from Oz and the Maori's are all from Polynesian Islands anyhow. So I'm allowed! :devilish:

So whats your excuse...?! No, don't tell me, I got it.... better football!!!

p.s. JT - one way I managed to get them to load was to click on the number (of replies) which brings up a little box saying who has replied to the post (had never used it before). Within there there's an option to display the thread - seems to work.

GJ

This suggestion doesn't always work  .

I must admit, experiencing these problems, and being able to see eg. a cantor index advert at the bottom of the thread (that is probably causing the problem) flashing away, is mildly annoying :) !

I'm even struggling to access this thread to report these problems   (no, i'm just kidding!)

I'm getting the same problem with a number of threads. Refreshing and "number of replies" link both seem to sometimes work and sometimes not.

Bit annoying but I can live with it. Hope it gets fixed soon though.

Cheers,
PKFFW

Too right, soggy battered fish and cold, limp chips cooked in cow dripping topped off with an oily pickled onion thats sat in a jar in the sun for the last 3 years, slowly fermenting and been cooked in the sun more times than the fish has been frozen and un-frozen! Can't beat it!

Oh, and I'm only getting the problem with the weekly FX threads??!!
