The Daily Index Trader

Hi..I've been beta testing Daily Index Trader since mid July. It has only lost about 15 times since I started and I have traded most days. The system is a set and forget style and it can also be tweaked if necessary, but I have found that tweaking hasn't helped..it would have been best to leave it, so as to keep to the input parameters.Having said that, today's trade was a winner and I could have increased the profits on the day today if I had tweaked it.I am extremely pleased to have this system and my bank has increased considerably since starting with it. I paper traded to start with, so as to be on the safe side while I was getting used to it, and then started with £1000,then increased to £2000. When I hit £3000 I shall increase the stakes again.I am currently on £2754.I have been particularly careful. Other folks have done better using a larger bank. The support from DIT has been really fantastic, and I would seriously suggest that anyone who wants a thoroughly professional and efficient package, which incorporates an entry, management within the trade, and an exit have a look at this...I'm glad I did!

Hi logsweir

Most testers seem to be raving about this. Im always very sceptical about these things but the reviews have been so good Ive decided to give it a go. I like the fact that its set and forget. Pleased your doing well on it.

Hi
thanks for the info

Can the orders be entered in the evening after the market closes, or does it need to be first thing in the morning before the trading day starts?

thanks
Jim

Afraid not Jimbo235. They trade after 9.00am to allow the markets to settle.

My fist week this week and won 4 out of 5.

Haven't really had a chance to look at the notes properly - having problems using the Trade Evaluator but not sure if its because I checked it out this evening at about 5pm or if Ive just downloaded it incorrectly. Also - do you have to use Gekko?

Logsweir - how does one become a beta tester?

ouch... two losing days out of two this week so far...

Not what I'm hoping for when testing a new system!

I had trouble using the Trade Evaluator at first too. You have to manually update it using data from their website first, otherwise it doesn't work. After playing around with it for a little while it's actually very easy to use.
The system balances the trades, so you need to be able to place the trade using pounds and pence. You can't do that on IG, Tradefair or ETX - not sure about Finspreads or anywhere else though.
But Gekko are offering a free 25% bonus at the moment, so why not just use them?

Hi

I started using the Daily Index Trader yesterday, had a win yesterday and a loss today. Looks promising, but time will tell. I found the trade evaluator a bit of a pain at first but once I got my head around it, it's quite straight forward, you do have to input the historical data for it to work. The trade evaluator is at the moment a bit restrictive, I emailed support, had a reply in 24 hours and was advised that updates for it are being worked on, increased flexibilty for the trade evaluator will become available once tested etc. I use Gekko found them to be fine, I got my 25% bonus today but read the T&C's in order to collect it, you have to place at least 3 qualifying trades and email them with your details etc requesting the bonus.

Hi chinablade, did you trade yesterday because I got that as a win

Hi Neil,

Yes, I traded it. I got stopped out by 1 point before the market reversed, otherwise it would have been a winner.
I suppose my entry point was a litle different to you, I was in a little after 9:15 as it was my first day to use it, i was still getting my head around how it was supposed to work.
Serves me right for live trading on the first day!

Seems like a promising system with a lot of potential though, time will tell.

Hi
I've been Beta testing this system since July 12th and it has performed extremely well. I have won 45 and lost 9 including yesterday's loss. I had a winner on Monday and I know a few other people did too, my stop loss being missed by less than 1 point! The markets were moving up around the time the trade was placed and if I'd been a minute later placing it I would have been stopped out too. I was lucky on the day but we all know luck evens itself out over time and it has believe me!

After a week or so I was able to get the whole thing done and my trade placed in 5 mins or so. I can then leave it and get on with other things so it fits in nicely with any other trading. All I can say is I've been using it for 3 months and for me it's definately worth sticking with.

PS Sarnia- what problems are you having with the evaluator- if I can help I will and you don't have to use Gekko, but I haven't found anywhere else that allows trading in £&p with smaller stakes, which you need unless you have many £ for your trading fund!

I didnt realise you had to enable macros so Ive got it working now. Just received notification that my Gekko ac is up and running so if I can get my act together Ill start this tomorrow. Anyone know if you can download the trade evaluator to more than one computer - would like to have it on my laptop too.

Hi Sarnia,

yes you can download on to your laptop as well just remember to keep entering the day's data on both copies of the evaluator so they remain up to date.

Good luck tomorrow.

Hi Steve...unfortunately took me longer than I had anticipated setting up the entry so missed todays. Will be ready for tomorrow though!

I had a winning trade today but Ive just seen a post that says it was a loss day. Can anyone confirm one or the other please.

It was losing day today. Both trades had their stops hit. CACS was stopped out at 3696 and the DAX was stopped out at 6193.

Did you place your trades at 9:15am ? :(
