There are many different threads on T2W. Lot's of them are not worth reading through and some of them are really good.

Trying to avoid waste of time (reading through all sort of rubbish threads), I'm interested if there is any thread in particular that made you a better trader – more profitable:?:

Sort of. Trader Dante's thread put me on to J16 on Forex Factory. Not to say that there isn't a lot of good stuff in Dante's, but just that for me it was more the real start of the journey away from 17 indicators and that stuff.

But I'd recommend anyone reading Dante's thread, especially if you've come to trading through one of those indicator / MA cross etc "systems".

Whoever linked to Live With Oscar. I think it was Rathcoole who mentioned it. I've ditched all the indicators. I know Oscar C uses 3 or 4 indicators to confirm trends but I stick to the basics.

Sadly very few of these authors seem to be around. Some were gone before I got here, and those that are around, perhaps don't think it is worth their effort to give some insights/educational threads etc.

Many threads on T2W have improved my trading as a whole. I can't really say any have made me worse put it that way.

There seems to be a growing feeling that forums can't provide any assistance when it comes to trading. I seriously beg to differ.

About 9 months ago I started a thread saying how I was nearly in the 90% of failed traders. I had nearly 90 replies all offering advice. I was down and out with little capital left and ready to chuck in the towel. If T2W didn't exist I'd no longer be trading or I'd still be in the same old place I was, deposit money, trade, lose money and round we go.

While it was my own thread that made me a better trader that is the beauty of T2W. You get people here for the 'lulz' and it makes my day a little brighter. It is also a great tool for learning, I've picked up so many tips and hints from traders who actually know how to trade and have been doing it for years. While they might not realise they are imparting wisdom sometimes it's the slightest remark that can spark a change in ones trading.

That's why this place needs people like Roth and even ODT et al. Sometimes they don't know they're imparting advice with ODT it's a case of look at what's he's written and do the exact opposite  I'm just messing, suffice to say you can read all the books you want, but the opportunity to ask someone or post a thread and get advice is what keeps me coming back here.

How gay.

Thanks for the posts.

I'll read through the recomended threads.
It shouldn't take long as there are not many of them.

Your opinion does not count , as you don't know your **** from your elbow. In another post in a different thread , you mentioned you were smoking more as a result of trading.Your health is more important than trading, and thing that makes you inhale cancer tablets isn't worth it.

Incorrect ODT.
Everyone - regardless of their trading status - has an opinion and is encouraged to express it. Doing so is both good for the site and its members. When I first joined T2W, I was loathed to post anything for ages because, as a newbie, I assumed my opinion didn't count because I didn't know my '@rse from my elbow'. Knowing what I know now, I ought to have posted them as they were as valid then as they are now. In part, being a good trader requires a creative mind and an ability to look at the world - and the markets - differently to everyone else. Newbies are in the best position to do this, before their minds become infected with all the dross and accepted norms of the business. Consequently, their insights and approach to the subject can be most refreshing. Heaven help us if the only members that ever post on here are the so called 'experts'. Besides, the best traders I know are quite humble folk who never stop learning and aren't so stupid as to shoot themselves in the foot by ignoring the potentially good ideas of those less knowledgable and experienced than themselves.
Tim.

I don't like beating around the bush , I like to expose the city and wall street scammers and thieves, and all the prop monkeys using MACD indicators (another pile of dung)some wally using moving averages to trade , and all the thieves pretending to be hedge funds.I love to throw their **** back at them.At least you get the true stories as they are eg The crooked investment bankers are designing/setting up instruments/derivatives/hedge funds to rob pensions.

Dantes thread - 'How to make money trading', is excellent,
There are others that are very good too, I think by Mr Charts 'One way I trade for a living'
some of Brambles posts are great too.
Theres more too, but I often get confused where trading talk ends and banter begins.

Let us see the crap system plagiarised , the system plagiarised lost the users real cash , most users have have dissapeared after losses from the failed system of the original system scammer .Was it Linda Rashke's system or or was it the acd system plagariazed by the mentor?.Stick to eating noob sandwiches , you ain't got a clue about trading.

Whose crap breakout system was plagiarized?

I dont know any good threads but I love the posts by BSD.

He puts in links to all sorts of interesting articles and wizard trader facts which really help to get you thinking outside the box (which is what I think EVERYONE on here needs to do a bit more).

Yeah – I've read his posts. IMO most of them are good. Only problem is they are in all sort of different threads, so could be a time consuming exercise.
