Just been looking through the members list and by a quick calculation it appears 93% of people that join never make a post. Havent we heard that figure before. If only 93% of traders make money that means only 1 in every 8649 traders that joins this site will ever make money. Why do we bother?

There seem to be so many non-sequiturs in this posting, that I wonder why you bother :)

I know what you are saying....
I personally have been posting here for about 5 Years now....on and off...
I write so that people can read how I trade...and learn...I have been mentoring for quite a bit of time
but to be honest...Trade 2 win is a release zone where....I use my trade time ie trading without looking at the trade...

What does really get to me is what you said julian and is very true some *******s come on for a week and start posting negatively without knowing who you really are...and messup the flow...

I see where you are coming from

Good luck
Rav

This is an old argument. 93% lose money in the market because everyone sees trading as a get rich quick endeavour and many lack the guts and work ethic to commit to hard work and be able to recover from a loss.

AM I missing something...I think he is talking about posting matey..:)

maybe because there is another trading forums that have more useful information about trading ...

I didnt say i am wasting my time here , there is useful information as well ;)

previously, you could browse and read T2W without joining.
then, the system was changed so that you had to register in order to even read posts, let alone post.
so, you could argue, once registered, newer members decided it wasnt for them.
(I wont go into conspiracy theories about it being a means of bumping up the membership numbers for advertising purposes)

The number of posts has no bearing on quality of traders. It could simply be T2W is not appropriate for most members, and they never return. Lack of posting is not connected to their ability to trade or otherwise.

There have been similar threads about the proportion of the membership that have "last visited" T2W (in last 6 months, last 3 months, lat month, etc). Thats more instructive, as someone returning to read (without posting) finds value at T2W.

As per rav700, T2W is more a distraction to help avoid over-trading.
Have a great week. Glad I'm inside from the rain.

if you sort the data by "Last visit", and look for last visits for past 3 months, approx Feb-18th, you get to page 1070. 30 names per page, thats about 32,000 members visited in last 3 months.

however, you would need to substract those that joined within a few days and never revisited. thats where the numbers get messy.
I would say about 2/3 are new registrees that find T2W not suitable. Thats 10K "active" members over a 3-month time-frame.

Over a 1-month time-frame, that could fall to about 5-7K active membership. (just guessing)

i personally feel vendors and the most popular traders on here should have to file a balance sheet every year from their trading activities to prove themselves and their advise worthy. You will all knock the idea i know as most would be afraid of such a thing but it would solve alot of the bs and the quality would improve immensly. I have to file my own accounts for my own business to companies house and they are made public so why can a vendor or so called top trader get away with it when he could be just a con man or a loner with mental and disilusional problems.

Nobody should 'listen' to anyone just because they are posting here. Those with the brains and the courage and who do not need to be taken by the hand and led will do their own research. They will eventually find out who is worth 'listening' to and who should be ignored.

yes but why don't they prove their ****, infact new trader i personally feel you are a failed trader yourself, are you willing to prove me wrong?

i already know the answer don't worry.

I personally feel that you are a [censored]...but personal feelings aside...

What is a failed trader anyway? I have never made any claims about anything other than what I have learned through battle hardened experience. I don't understand what you mean by prove you wrong..why should I be obliged to convince you of anything? I am not selling a system or offering mentoring or anything else that requires proof. It is up to an individual to prove things to themselves. This is why I say that you are definitely in the 99.9% worth ignoring. I couldn't care less, not one iota if you start a trading journal or post your results which shows you make millions trading. Do you see? Traders must do their OWN figuring and develop their OWN trading edges. This is is something I proved to myself a long time ago. This is why I can say, with confidence, that what you and many others say is absolute nonsense. Telling me that trading is not what I think
..:rolleyes::rolleyes:
