What is you biggest edge?

I suppose it could be you money management skills, your method of trading, your experience of the markets, your risk tolerance or any number of factors. Or, I suspect many people will say- one is no good with out the other. But if you had to pick one what would it be?

I have always thought the biggest edge a retail trader has, is that he/she does not have to be in the markets at all. So therefore we can wait in cash until the best setups come our way.

The ability to seperate ego from objective.

In other words, being in this not to be right, but to make money.

And the mostest on a steadily compoundable basis is made by disregarding all the individual wiggles during the journey, but holding on for the big moves instead.

Maybe not my biggest but understanding that right and wrong has no place in trading.(T&C's apply)

I like your first edge.

My other edge is that I'm relatively small so I can enter at positions the big guys can't. They must scale in at non-optimal points whereas I can wait for near perfection and still get filled.

We often see "you're trading against the best in the world so how can you ..." but the best in the world are occupying different parts of the market ecosystem to the "really only ok traders" like Wasp and I. We only have to out trade the "really not quite ok traders" and skim a little from the "bf institutional traders" to do fine. So edge two is being able to find a profitable niche because I'm small.
