Former prop trader offers free advice

Hello everyone,

I am a former prop trader with 8 years trading experience but I now trade my own account. I have been offered a job at my old firm as a mentor but am not sure if I would enjoy the role. As an experience I have set up a daily video blog that offers free trading ideas and technical analysis of the ftse100, major currency pairs, djia, oil and gold. I don't sell anything at all on the site (there is one google ad).

The reason I have set up the site for free and am advertising it here is I want as many new traders as possible to watch my videos and ask me questions about trading and technical analysis.

If I can get people to interact with me I will have a better idea as to whether I would enjoy becoming a trading mentor for my old company. Feel free to have a look at my videos and read my articles. Get in touch about anything trading related and I would be glad to help. I have about a month before deciding upon whether I take the job so if you want any advice from a professional trader that won't cost you anything now is the time to get it.

Hi,

Could you share with everyone what charting you use and also what broker
and any fees you pay per round turn. Also how many contracts you trade
each trade or daily. Just gives us retails an idea of what the pros trade.

hi SS, good work here - nice & simple, plenty of decent traders teach - for the reasons you posted on a diff thread, just most do not advertise it on forums. good skills that your prop firm encouraged it, the prop firm i was had teachers who were too keen on doing coke at lunch at the local.

you do know that you can add your markets to a list in advanced charts - so you just click that list in prorealtime rather than having to go to ig platform each time to bring up a new chart.

hi gedward - the charts in the vids are prorealtime through ig index, not sure if thats his broker though. i dont think the 'how much do you stake?' question is that relevant.
 
Where the videos at ? I am working on becoming a 100% video (free ones of course) trained trader be it from videos on youtube or other sources.

The problems with videos is that you are learning from an unverified source. Sometimes a good old book off the nearest bookshelf is better as it had been weighted, tested read and reread and the information is genuine and foolproof.

Forget the grail this guys got some secret cloning / time machine on the rip.

Spain, Singapore, London and Romania..... currently residing in Swansea.....

Btw i just got word from the head of my local chapter of the vendorscummasons.

I've been excommunicated for my post above, apparently, lulz is no defence for outage.

No more can i use the secret handshake - right hand against right hand, left hand in others pocket, pilfering his wallet.

Gutted.
 
This highlights something that I think most people miss.

Those that start all these "get rich quick schemes" are fundamentaly dumb as a post. If they could start a legitimate business, they would. They can't and so they resort to a business model that relies on there being a large pool of people dumber than they are.They think they can throw up a few web sites and the money will start rolling in.

So - the fact that they can't even keep a stream of bu11sh!t flowing in a straight line should come as no great shock.

The only question remains - is he stupid enough to come back and reward us with more lulz?

He was actually demanding an apology from PB the other day. :LOL:

From that point, the outcome was tolerably predictable.

I did try to warn him, but you know how some people are.
