Whilst they may have posted quality stuff, they also did some weird stuff warranting banning.
There seems to be some kind of belief that if you post something even remotely useful, it gives them some right to be offensive as well.
That would be like saying Pazienza is a doctor, saved three lives in a hospital, therefore it's ok for him to mow down 2 people on his way home, and that makes it alright.

The banned, if not one of the dumb you allude to, clearly knew what they were doing, and the likely outcome of their actions.
