Hello everyone, I have been trading binary options for quite sometime now and it has been a bittersweet affair. I use Metatrader to monitor the markets. I currently use the 5 minute timeframe to track market movement wthin the hour so I would know when to place a position. I'm Currently using heiken ashi and EMAs. Anybody with good 5 minute indicators that can help more accurately speculate proce direction within the hour? I would really appreciate it :) Thanks in advance.

have you looked at http://www.johnpiper.info/

I have both his books and while I don't trade his methods, they where an interesting read. Not sure I would bother with his signal service though as it looks too much like a con to me.

Thanks Rossini,

Ill check it out and probably get the free stuff. And try it out if it really works.

Checked it out, doesnt really give much unless you purchase something. Any other 5/15 minute price direction hourly strategies? something that can fit hourly expiry.

Well normally in my case, Startoptions usually has hourly expiries, based on my experience it would be good to cross monitor currency pairs with high level of concurrency. I try to watch 4 currency paris namely EURUSD and USDCHF which are very negatively correlated and GBPUSD and USDCAD which is also negatively correlated, you can basically see the direction by comparing one currency against the other three. But since you view it by the 5/15 minute time frame, there is still a lot of noise in the market, no guarantees. try to create a mechanical set of rules which you will follow before placing your position and see if it creates more wins than losses in paper trading.

I just opened an account with www.startoptions.com, are you trading there ? what would be a normal bonus to expect on first deposit? i like ur tradingfoorsteps. v cool. i need to learn from your patience :) i think i am going to get too excited and trade big straight away!!!

Ey upthespurs, sorry for the late reply. Well yah I am trading there also. Thanks for the feedback about my blog, I would appreciate comments if you have :) How is your trading going along? I hope you have had success with it. I encourage you to create a fixed strategy that has a good winning probability percentage. You can actually practice with tradesmarter.com if you like. I am trying to collaborate with people so we can share strategies on trading with binary options.

This is a good thread. I've been on the fence about trading binary options because of the riskiness. I do understand that they can be successful, but you would need to be very quick to react to any indicators. Have any of you actually been profitable with binary options?

Quote cocoy.jurado: Anybody with good 5 minute indicators

I use cmsfx.com charts. You can get free charts at there site which you are able to put on a website or just use there charts
fx charts by cmsfx.com
http://www.cmsfx.com/en/forex-resources/market-analysis/forex-charts/
http://countingpips.com/fx/forex-charts/chf/usdchf/

I use these charts to track 5 min with one hour history for the support and resistance in forex ..it works great.

I am looking for a site that is similar to betonmarkets.com that has the option Rise/Fall
Bet on whether a market will rise or fall from its current spot during the next 30 seconds to 360 days.
I am not able to sign up to betonmarkets because of regulatory reasons they cannot accept United States registrants from my country.

Do you know where i could find a site that excepts U.S. sign ups.
I trade at cmsfx.com on forex and hoping to stay there but would like to have a different place to diversify my money in options "rise and fall"

More info on Rise and Fall option....Bet on whether a market will rise or fall from its current spot during the next 30 seconds to 360 days. Comes in two varieties: variable returns, where the return varies according to market conditions; and fixed returns, which always have a 100% return but where a price movement "hurdle" must be met. This info can be found at Betonmarkets.com.

Hello, Yes I was but I have had also losses, I guess in the long run it would all come down to risk management and position sizing to make you survive in the long run.

The Long run: I trend trade only..when there isn't a trend going on i don't trade. It"s like a farmers hay, you gather the hay when its available because the hay isn't always available (A desert) When there are good trends i will multiply lots per trade...."position sizing" 5 to 10 lots or more per trade on a good trend.

I do take a chance on Fx signals from others when i think i might need the money and when there are no trends for a long time.
I use these signal providers.. They are Free
www.ifxpro.com
ifxpro last signal i received EUR/USD 200pip:clap: example:he will only post a signal only one time in two weeks and/or maybe more, ifxpro will post all thier fx signals on there website and will send a email to you when there is a posted signal.
http://www.fxtoday.co.uk/index.htm
Fxtoday will post their signals almost every day..not all his signals will be good but most are good or fair:clap:
Fxtoday will post all thier fx signals on there website.

Trend trading is always a good strategy but the challenge is to know what part of the trend you are on..and there lies the challenges :) Ive had my fair share of experiences when the market seems poised to be bullish then reversed just shortly when I went in. LOL! I have not tried those signalling services though. Ill probably take a look at it and compare it with my own analyis to see if I am in the right track hehe. I would advise though no matter how simplistic, we should all have our own ways of analyzing the market. Learning is always a good thing :)

When Trend Trading i use Japanese candlesticks they work Great for 5 min and one day charts for rise and fall trading
More information on using Japanese candlestickshttp://www.forexhit.com/learn-forex/japanese-candlestick.html This is not my site, i found this site on google images when i was looking to increase my knowledge on trend trading. I was looking for what a Bearish Engulfing Pattern looked like on google images because some Japanese candlesticks charts sites give the wrong information about this particular candle.

Hi everyone, Japanese candlesticks when used with Binary Options is actually a good trigger mechanism on when to come in. A good hangman of hammer combined with dojis is a good sign of an imminent sign of a high probability reversal. Take note, I said "high probability". One thing we must learn about the markets is that we can never predict it. But we can ride it :) I would like to think of it that way.

I got a message advising me to focus on longer term markets because in hourly monitoring is very unpredictable. Good Advice actually. But if you are brave(or crazy) like me, you can try coming up with a system that actually helps you identify signals within the hour among forex pairs and help you ride the breakouts with in-the-hour calls and puts. Not for the faint of heart if you want my take on it.

I have been doing this for a couple of weeks now. I revived my Startoptions account which had $29 left after my last blowout set of trades LOL. Deposited a dollar since $30 was the minimum position amount, and started implementing my new system(which I tried paper testing for quite a while). So far so good, I actually just emailed a withdrawal request for $240 prior to making this post.

I still don't know if my system's profitability would continue for the next few weeks though. If ever it does, I will probably create a short terms course for it. I hope you guys would be interested :) Im still making sure it works and see if I can really pull it off. I will be posting a blog post in my site about this within the week.

Hope you guys have a great week ahead :)
