Does anyone know what the spreads are on this account (particularly on the FTSE and on gold). I know they are wider but was wondering by how much?

TBH they're not that much wider than the industry 'standard'...OK, examples, cable 3 pips, G.Stop 3 pips, margin 15...Gold 0.5, G.Stop 0.5, margin 2.5...
If you're new, then a punt on cable at a pound a pip is six quid.... Without the stop it can be as low as 2..but...
Sorry, forgot to add, FTSE is 2, margin is 10 G.Stop is I think 10..

That's not correct - he's talking about a limited risk account with guaranteed stops.

The spreads are wider there - about 3x wider than the usual spreads I believe - but you can't lose more than your stop - although they are very restrictive - you can't use tight stops on guaranteed positions.

Nope, you're wrong I'm right...:p Ltd risk, with guaranteed stop on most traded currency pairs, is no more than 6 pips per trade (with exception of GBP/JPY), I'm typing this looking at a ltd risk account platform to check my facts; cable currently 3 pips spread, a 3 pip GS and a margin of 15. FTSE 2 spread 2 GS margin 10. Most major FX pairs are the same cost, with the exception, as previously mentioned, of GBP/JPY at 8 pip spread, 3 pip GS and 40 margin...

Swissie pairs, EUR and USD are 4 pip spread, 3 pip GS, 20 min margin...
