Apologies if this is a bit gloomy, but should be interesting.

By drawdown I mean losses as a percentage of your trading capital (not your total net worth!). So if you have (had) a pot of £/$10k, and this shrank painfully to £/$5K, you've suffered a 50% drawdown.

Hope that's clear (and right?). Some discussion of definition of drawdown here

there doesnt appear to be that option

I assumed the 100%ers would have far too much money to be reading this board.

Jack Swager may want to interview you for the next Market Wizards.

I lost 33% in my first full year of trading. It was an expensive lesson but I sure understood stop losses after that! Biggest after that probably 5%ish or less.

Fettered, There is a box for 0% drawdown, it's just that it's combined with those that lost 1 to 9% so you'll just have to share it with the loosers!!

Dont want to be pedantic, but .....

A drawdown during a period of trained, organised, planned trading,

is quite different from,

A drawdown suffered during a training-period, when newbie traders second-guess, trade emotionally, try to win back losses, trade without a defined plan, etc.

( I have yet to experience the former for an appreciable amount of time, however, I have considerable experience of the latter )

What time frame are we talking here?

Drawdown on one trade?
Drawdown on one month, one year?
