Which sessions open/close used to calculate pivot points?

HI all,

I understand that the daily open and close are used to calculate daily pivot points. But from which session? As I guess it would change the results if different sessions were used.

Generally speaking it's a 24-hour thing. So the answer would be all sessions. I'm sure there are those who do segment it, though.

i trade the ftse and use all 3 sets of data
8.00-17.30
8.00-21.00

and the cash data

but dont really trade off the levels but like to keep an eye on them.
