WHICH PIVOT for the Dow Jones (YM): time zones globex etc...

Hi,

I just wanted peoples opinions on which type of pivot points (woody's, floor pivots etc) seem to play the most significant role on the YM contract.

Also, with regard to timezones: at what time (GMT time) is it best derive your pivot points from: I.e. 0500 GMT to 0500 GMT OR 'No GLOBEX' 1430 to 2100?

I'm fairly new at using pivots, but I use a 24 hour session, and calculate the pivots with high, low, and SETTLEMENT. Not sure what platform you use, but Tradestation has a technique called Floor Pivot Points that I do NOT use. They calculate the points based on close which I believe skews the data... I would love to hear other opinions on this matter though?

I take the "real" floor session and it seems to work

The reason may be ... it was developed on the floor and for the floor traders ...
