Hi,

I am new to the Stock Trading game and i am looking for some pointers and advise in this new field! I have been trading in the Forex market so i understand some basic stuff however im not sure if it relates.

I have a lot of questions so please bear with me!! :)

1.)Which software is recommended for trading (i have been loking at Sharescope) or do you recommend trading online?

2.) If i am planning to trade shares in the short term (3 days to 3 months) what should i be looking for in my software package or trading company (end of day service, 15min delay prices or real time prices)???

3.)Where can i find course that i can take (UK), i dont mind paying and have plenty of time, where i can learn about the fundermentals and all the jargin etc... I realise it may take some time?

4.)Any other tips for a newbie???

Thanks for your times guys!

You should get real time prices whatever, most would offer that now.
I believe Sharescope is good but I haven't tried it - it's mainly for finding and shortlisting stocks that you can trade.
Try this:

Hello...and welcome to the world of the markets :)

As for trying to find a course...a lot of people do seminars, sometimes they can be free.
I recommend looking at a gentleman called Robbie Burn's - he offers seminars several times a year.
His website is:-

Also a good idea to read his book as it gives a good coverage for beginners. I read it and loved it. It is factual but comical at the same time.

And remember one thing when you make your first trade:-
"Never Trust A Man In Sandles" ;)

It depends how you are going to trade. Some traders watch the price second by second on the way in and way out. Therefore they need level two real time and a dealing platform where they can get iside the price etc. Other folk look at the fundamentals, calculate a rough price for buying and for selling and don't become a slave to the price screen. Depends what you feel comfortable with.
