I only trade currency, but all charts are the same, and if you only want 1 indicator, then Stochastic is the best single indicator................

Nothing works 100% of the time but a good system puts the odds in your favor.........

I have tried to use the Stoch indicator for a long time but the thing drove me crazy. When it indicated undersold I would enter Long when indicator comes up, but then it retraces and you're screwed.

Same for opposit, I would go Short when it tends to come down all the way, but then retracement again and my stoploss gets hit.

Doesnt make sense to me so I got rid of it.

moving averages are not good indicators and stochastics are ok but regardless all indicators are best used with others .

When i am in position will look for Reversal Signals to exit like Pivot break and S/R break.
