What's the best futures broker to use?

I recommend doing ninjatrader separate from a broker. I'm sure the lease from the broker is $60 and not anything additional to ninja. But, If you were to change brokers down the road, they would more than likely shut off your ninja license and you would have to start all over.

Could you please help me on how you can use NT without a broker? How are your funds then handled?

btw. I have been using AMP with NT and you just lease the platform from NT direct. If you get the multi broker license, you should be able to change broker if you want to.
