What other jobs can traders get into after trading?

I'm considering pursuing a job in trading at a prop house but i'm interested as to what else a trader can do after trading for say, 2 years? (I know a trader is a trader for life but what if they choose to back out of the F/T scene):clap:

Surely it'd be in the IB field but what jobs are there?

A nice list of jobs would be nice!

You're right, a trader is a trader for life. The ones who pack it in usually just retire or turn to charity work as for the sucessful trader, no job pays close. Earn your money, then spend it. The ones who really quit it usually blow up, wether it's due to outside factors impressing on their career or just the need for extra excitement.

Earn your cash, go and spend. What you decide to do after you've run out or if you feel the need to work at something else then fairplay, that will differ hugely from one to another and will range from charity work to just plain old retirement hugh hefner style.

Although, first things first, lets not run before we can walk, lets learn to trade successfully and then one day you'll wake up and realise you have a sh1t load of cash in the bank and are wondering what to do with it. This is when you ask yourself these questions, before this, its just a pipedream.

Start at the begining and concentrate on the job in hand first, the rest will follow in due time.

Well, I've also noticed that most traders didn't study economics or finance when they were in college. Often I hear of a desire return to their original interest. I personally want to give a second shot back into engineering after selling out to the world of money.
