I am thinking of going with them, they are cheap for eurex, but does anyone know any negatives about them?

Also if they say an intra-day margin of x and an maintenance margin of y. Don't you always need the maintenance margin in your account to hold the position, so where does the intra-day margin come in? is it just for if you hold it overnight? Would I ever have to add them together? Never had to think about margins before.. thanks for any replies!

Looks pretty cheap but looks like they charge for the platforms and per round trip until you reach a minimum figure for using the platform.

Thanks, the platform I would use doesn't add any further costs. Also I read that page but wasn't 100% sure what initial margin is as to me it sounds like something you always need but from that page you sent it did seem clear it's only the intraday margin.

I am looking at say the bobl and if I traded it only intraday would I just need 300 euros to buy 1 contract? Is the initial and maintanence magins only if I hold it to the close or overnight?

Most of these FCM's offer the Day Trading Margins now on liquid products.
Providing you dont hold overnight you can't go wrong as some margin with SB can be quite high and at least you are in the real markets here.
