Unreadable hard drive

I have a hard drive in windows XP that is unreadable. It is a dynamic disc.

Im not worried about the information on the disc, but need to get it to a point where I can repartition/format the disc. How in XP can I do this?? Ive tried the disc management tools and the only option I have is to convert to a basic disc, which doesnt do anything.

I know the disc is okay.

Ignore that, I found the solution
I did the following

run diskprobe.exe
select disk 1
clean

then disk was unallocated.

In the article, it said a tool dynamic disk converter can repair a unreadable dynamic disc to basic disc.
