Which fund supermarket has the biggest selection of unit trusts with 0% intial charge and single (NOT dual) pricing?

As far as I am aware, unit trusts are dual priced. OEICs have single pricing, that is midway between the two. That's just how they are structured. If there is no initial charge, you will pay no initial charge.

As far as selection goes, it is probably much of muchness these days. Skandia always used to be the market leader as far as range went, although I'd imagine now most supermarkets are pretty much the same.

One thing to look out for, as a result of the RDR you are likely to see supermarkets offering a wider range, including ETFs.

I would look at Hargreaves Lansdowns vantage platform. I don't work for them, on the contrary they are a competitor.

There are 3 or 4 true wraps that allow investment into virtually any uk security however you normally will need an adviser to access these.

Thanks for the thorough information! I guess I don't know so much about these products afterall.

I looked at Skandia, but unforunately they say that you need a financial advisor to use them.

While reading about Unit Trusts and OIECs I stumbled across Stamp Duty articles. The information on HMRC is not too clear, and my current broker (Hargreaves Lansdown) has not been charging me any stamp duty on my invesments. Is stamp duty charged on OIEC transactions?

Skandia is very good, but as you say, IFA only.

You do not pay stamp duty when buying OEICs or unit trusts.
