UK resident. I want a holiday!!!!

Hi All,

I am a UK resident, spread betting tax free only.

I want to visit the US, possibly for 3 months so i need to spread bet.
Where do i stand??

I have a few accounts but no one wants to say much or anything!!!

Which countries will not allow me to access a spread bet website??

Which countries will allow me to access the websites??

i know it is possible to do from:

France, Spain, Portugal, Dubai, Bahrain

I scalp constantly, sorry but i cannot and never deal on the phone unless
i cannot close a trade.
I sometime make 10 trades a day.

Would have been the summer of 2008 I believe.

Maybe it worked with CMC because I downloaded their marketmaker software on my sisters PC when i was visiting her and so didn't do it through a website? I dont know. I dont know much about how that sort of thing works and what they have in place.

I cant really imagine it not working with most spreadbet companies, but by the sounds of it im wrong?

People who have tried it and failed : ...who was it with, and what actually happened??

I also have a spreadbet account with marketindex RBS. Again, id be very suprised if i couldn't log on to my account in another Country, although haven't yet had a chance to try it out.

I placed trades through IG Index and Capital Spreads while I was there. I even could trade US stocks (intraday) there through my IB/esignal setup

Hi,

I get away regularly but may be in the US for up to 3 months
so will need to trade at some point. I'm just worried about trading
in the US. I am going to Detroit which is next to Canada so can travel back and fourth.
But if it isn't an issue then i can travel around and trade freely.

Can you explain more about the UK based proxy server. What it is, what it does,
how can i get one / access to one, any idea of cost??
