U.S. stocks closed higher ‧Dow Jones and S & P hit 5-year high
U.S. stocks mostly higher on Friday's closing. Rally late in the Dow Jones Industrial Index rose to a high point of the past five years, Morgan Stanley and GE performance was better than expected, promote its shares rose.
Friday U.S. stocks rise after the first fell. The broader market rose, the Standard & Poor's 500 index to new 5-year high. The Dow rose 53.68 points, to 13,649.70 points, or 0.4%, the highest close since December 10, 2007. Earlier the index fell 24 points, but then there are reports that the U.S. House of Representatives, Republican leaders are considering to raise the debt ceiling of the federal government to a level sufficient for three months, the Dow go up again.
Standard & Poor's 500 index rose 5 points, to 1485.98 points, or 0.3%. The Nasdaq composite index fell 1.30 points, to 3134.70 points, a drop of less than 0.1%.
