Hello,

I'm not a U.S. resident, I do not live there, I've never been there. I'm thinking of opening an account with a U.S. forex broker. I consulted an attorney and he told me that, as I'm not a U.S. resident I'm not gonna be obligated to pay any taxes to the U.S. government, but only to my country of residence. Is this correct?

Thanks

Yes, it is correct provided you fill out the proper forms with your US broker. It's better to speak to your broker and indicate your status so you receive the forms.
