I am using TS2000i with the data coming in from DTN's IQFeed and going thru Dynastore to the Global Server. I am trying to set up my friend the same way, but Global Server does not pick up data. On my system, the event log shows all the steps thru "Connection to 127.0.0.1 port 2189 successful". Then "Logging". Then " Winros 7.1(build 241) 09/1/02". Then "Connected"/ On his setup, it goes as far as "Logging" and that's it, no further. The Dynastore shows all green (for go), but the Status Monitor shows 0 quotes collected. So what would be the next step to try? Hopefully I'm not going into too much detail.

If not already done, he will need to run the setup wizard in Globalserver to use Dynastore. If quotes are working they will appear in the quotes received section of Globaserver.

Let us know how you get on

According to Dynastore instructions, I showed I was using DBC subserver by running the setup wizard

Is the Globalserver showing any received quotes that are updating in realtime ?

Unfortunately, it is not. The IQFeed shows it is working, as does Dynastore, but nothing is getting over to Global Server.

You could try switching the link from Dynastore to hyperserver for IQ Feed which is pretty good in my view. The link is here: www.hypertrader.it/hserverl.shtml

The way to do this is to boot up IQ Feed first, then hyperserver and then Globalserver.

HyperServer

Happy New Year, Paul.
Many thanks for the help in the past posts. However, I seem to be jinxed when it comes to accessing TS2000i. I downloaded HyperServer, but have not been able to figure how to set it up to do what you mentioned. Guess I'm a little too thick when it comes to this one. Anyway, thanks again, I'll just keep trying.

1) Download hyperserver and run the setup application.

2) Now run the setup application in Globalserver and select the Hyperserver option as a realtime datafeed. Now shut down globalserver

3) Start the IQ Launcher ( this is under IQ feed in your Programs)

4) Start Globalserver again

As long as you have the instruments correctly setup in Globalserver then you should see realtime quotes coming through.

Here is a picture of what should be seen under the "performance" tab for the datafeed.

Also make sure that under the "symbol portfolio" tab that all instruments have "Connected" in their "realtime status " category if not then right click on them and select "connect symbol"

HyperServer

Thanks again, Paul, but guess I'm just not destined to get this to work. Followed all the steps you mentioned and Global Server still is not receiving anything. Same problem I had with Dynastore. IQFeed seems to be working ok, version 4.0.0.1. I'm going to reinstall TS2000i and see if that might be the problem. In Global Server, when I look at the "data source", it is all question marks instead of HyperServer, even since I re-setup GS listing HyperServer subserver as t he source.

This sounds like a problem with the TS2000i installation so it would be a good idea to reinstall as you have suggested.

Good Luck

Paul
