Just been watching a bloke with very big balls on TV news. Basically, he straps himself to a jetpack and a small aerofoil, and then jumps out of a perfectly serviceable aircraft at 10,000 ft.

Just imagine turning up at the office like that - develop your ego wouldn't it!

Yes it looks exciting.

I cant see anyone using it to commute with though. Because -

The the jets & afterburners present a physical health & safety danger.
You'd need a plane/helicopter to launch yourself out of. Few have those.
Packing all that stuff away once you got to work would be difficult, not to mention having a place to put it.
Where would you land? few workplaces have heli-pads.
Govt. would probably tax it to death due to the carbon footprint.
And superman might get jealous.
