I would like to ask your opinion on the following configuration of the desktop PC I am looking to buy as my trading workstation:
- Intel Core i7 Skylake 6700 3.4 GHz
- 32 GB RAM DDR4 2133 MHz
- 480 GB SSD
- H110 motherboard
- integrated graphics Intel HD Graphics 530
- PSU 400W
- nVidia quadro nvs 420
- 2 x Dell U2415 24" LED monitors.

I will run Ninja Trader and TT Platform with around 6 charts (each with Jigsaw Trading Depth&Sales) open in NinjaTrader and 4-6 MD Trader DOMs and 2-3 charts in TT Platform.

Do you think this will not overheat when running for around 12 hours a day?
Will it run smoothly and not freeze during news releases?

NVidia GPU will be added by me which will breach the warranty conditions but I have to do it as I cannot rely on the Intel graphics.

No need for a powerful machine but memory is important. 32gb for trading is overkill

Agreed on that, keep the graphics properties down to manageable level. They will eat your processor like you've never seen. I'm still using Windows 7 on my 2 trading platforms, I cannot get away from the suspicion that Microsoft will come out with a "trade management app". If you use things like that then you will be blloxoxed. Most important is a fast network connection and datafeed.
