with forex trading, major economic news releases can have a major impact on the price action of currency pairs. It is often advisable not to trade forex pairs through economic news releases?

Do/can economic news releases have an effect on the price action of emini Dow S&P & Nasdaq futures contracts? if so, how significant do the effects tend to be? is it advisable not to trade such contracts through major economic news releases?

of course they do. why wouldn't they? admittedly some more than others but they will move. depends what the news is and the level of sentiment at the time.

Differences between minis and full ? maybe, if you looked hard enough. the important thing is that they generally move as much as one another.
