Hi everyone.

I'm currently trying to improve my system by tying down those decisions I keep avoiding like what are my objectives, wha time frame am I trading in and when to take profits.

I'm reading an excellent book by Van K Tharp (as in Market Wizards) and I can really recommend it.

Has anybody else read it or have any views on the book?

Hi Darth, I read Van Tharps book a few weeks ago whilst on holiday in France.

An excellent book, what I like is the way it allows you to measure your trading method (expectancy) rather than just looking at wins/losses ratios.

I have since looked at my trading and examinined my R-multiples more closely.

I posted something on this subject on the Fool UK site here:

...you might be interested in the discussion thread. There's a few people there who discuss Van Tharps book.

He has also published a new book on the same subject but geared towards day trading, which I started to read in Waterstones the other day, also excellent stuff IMHO:
