Hi everbody,

I'm a semi-retired(if I'm honest redundant) book-keeper living in a burbs of London and I've always dreamed of having ago at speculating.

Anyway, found this site during lonely nights surfing the net and thought I'd share what happens to me with some (I hope) serious experts. I'm hoping to learn on the job as it were.

I've saved a few quid over the years so I thought I'd have a go at being Goege Soros before I croak. I gotta decent pension and few friend or relatives so I've opened an account to spread bet.

Got £20,000 and I'm gonna try my hand at bund because I'm told it's best to go for some thing liquid and elctronic... + I like the favt that it closes at 4.15 so that I can quit and have my tea.

I don't have problem with being up early since I don't sleep that well anymore.

Anway to kick off I've paid quite alot to get some advice from a Guru who sent me a letter out of the blue.. I gotta start somewhere and he seemd good and cheap in the letter I got.

Anyway , good to be here and looking foward to cahtting with anyone who might be able to help me trading bunds....

I got a feeling that their cheap below 120.30 March...(Is that what I should trade now?) So I thought I'd have go with about £2,500 on Monday.

I'd be interested in any help or feed back, especially with the Technical stuff, which I don't have a clue about. My thinking is that my astrologer is pretty cute and bright and she told me I'd be lucky if I was brave next week....She also said I'd might score a small victory over my old enemies...Well that was the Bosch, definetly...So, I reckon is't aon odds on bet to buy on Monday. What's more I never made any money in shares an I think bonds are safer than Guilts, which I've never understood anyway.

Best to all, I know I must sound like an amateur, I AM...I just want some excitement really..Life's got very slow, solitary and dull. I've got little use for the money anyway and no one to give too.......Except my cat TWISTY... and I reckon he's gonnsa peg it before me.

Oh, and I hate the mangy thing too......

Best

You have got to be joking ! You say that you haven't got a clue about the technical analysis. There is plenty of information on T2W that you can read first and plenty of good books mentioned also. Surely as a book-keeper you have a better respect for monetary analysis, especially your own. Perhaps you meant to say bookmaker, because that is the way you are planning to act on Monday !!

Whats all this about cute astrologers and gurus ?

Follow the number one principle of accountancy - be prudent

Hi Bundman,
I suspect that fxmarkets is right and that your post is an amusing wind up. But, just in case you're serious . . .
Beginners often experience some luck early on in their trading, so your efforts on Monday could be successful. The effect of this will be for you to assume that this game is money for old rope. Then, on Tuesday, you'll be tempted to risk even more than the 12.5% of your capital that you risked on Monday. You might be lucky again on Tuesday and repeat the process on Wednesday. But, sooner or later - probably the former - your luck will run out. Then you'll risk even more money in an attempt to recoup your losses. If this sounds like a fun way to go through £20k very quickly - go for it!
Personally, if I was after some excitement because life is solitary and dull, then I'd head off to a casino or the races and lose my money there.
Good luck to you anyway- you'll needs truck loads of it!
Tim.

Thanks to this lady, I am now pulling in 50 grand US a month.

My cat eats finest fillet steak ( chopped of course ) and my wife goes to Tesco in a helicopter.

My dog has a four poster bed and I am now thinking of buying Chelsea from that Russian chappie.

And this is definitely not a wind up, so there.

This Sara-Freder.com TA Indicator is not on my Charts, would not recommend using this indicator!!! :cheesy:

Lunar and solar eclipses are very important cross-over indicators in ETA.

Bman,

An amusing post, thanks for that. But we all know that, despite getting retired w/o your consent, you aren't that dim. We know that you know that you will develop your method first, back test it, and trade it in real time via simulator before you put real money at risk. We also know that you know that if you need excitement you can spend your money creatively in Amsterdam or something of that nature.

Chicken I'm convinced you are right, but am worried that the time-frame of waiting around for an eclipse is outside my impatient parameters. I would be interested in adapting the methods to use entry signals based on clouds passing across the moon and sun, but am worried the trailing cables required to move my trading desk near to a window may cause bad Feng Shui, which would obviously have a negative impact?
How does your wife park her helecopter at Tesco, or does she get lowered by cable?

In the absence of a helicopter pad, she has to climb down a rope ladder Peto.

She is getting quite adept at this but it is rather tricky on the way back when she has a full shopping trolley .

I trust that all this very valuable feedback has satisfactorily addressed your trading problems and that you will now be able to move forward with confidence.

It has also been of valuable assistance to me because as a result of this thread it is now common knowledge that Tesco do not provide helicopter pads for their more affluent customers. Maybe the publicity will spur them into action and I will be checking the pages of the Daily Mirror this week to see if Tesco announce any future aviation plans. Maybe they will even build runways for customers who possess executive jets.

Happy trading Bundman.
