Thinking about building a service and would like your guy's opinion on it

Hello! As you may know, when a company decides to buy another public company, share prices can fly up. I'm currently thinking about working on a service that would deliver news about upcoming potential mergers and acquisitions. On top of this, there would be a social aspect where users would be able to vote on which mergers are most likely to go through as well talk about why they think said merger has a bigger likelihood of actually happening. My question is, would that be something you'd potentially subscribe to for a monthly fee? Thank you!

Considering that half of the time result of a merger or acquisition might turn up to be exactly the opposite, I'm not all that sold into this idea. At least if there were some forests or analytics as to why you consider this time prices will surge - then it might be worth considering.

Service no ! Opinion votes no ! Mergers/Acquistiions no ! Some other trading app YES

Just go to sites such as reuters for free :

http://uk.reuters.com/business/deals/mergers

There are many others reporting on potential mergers and acquisitions.

As for the vote on whether a merger will go through or not, I think that the votes of some subscribers to such a service would be irrelevant.

I think there are a lot more productive apps related to trading that you should consider developing and don't try to sell it as a service, just sell the app.

Well, if his app appears to be better than all else, then why not make it? The thing is to find a need that's still unsatisfied by other apps and services.

Definitely not.
Such "news" is freely available.
"Social" aspect sounds like uninformed rumour and speculation. People can speculate and guess on existing social media.
