Any one here trading Thai stocks? I have a small account on the SET. It's lacking in many ways, but commissions are low, and there's no capital gains tax! I would love to talk to some one about Thai stocks, so please, if you're out there, please comment. I've yet to meet any English speakers that do so.

i've got an account with DSBVickers for stocks and also one for derivatives for SET, but rarely if ever touch it.
just don't feel confident that the market is genuine, too many rumours of manipulation etc

plus also most charting packages are krap too

Yeah, the charting packages are crap, kimeng has liberty which is some what decent. The thing I do like about is it has a nice leading indicator. The US market!

Hey CFD player, what issue is that? I have found esignal can do a Thai data feed, the end of day is about 25 dollars a month, and a semi full live version is around 20. Of course the full esignal is like 125 dollars a month, and you can add market profile charts for fifty bucks. I tell you, I'm really starting to like the Thai market. Let's say the day before the US market was up. And before the SET opens the Nikkei, Hang Seng, and Straits times are all up, and US futures are continuing to climb up. Well, it's pretty easy to determine wether that day would be an up or down day. ( It would be up by the way.)The other nice thing is that such a day is likely to start the morning with a quick sell off allowing for a very good entry point.

Woe the SET was up over 13% yesterday. Some guys I know in Thailand did VERY well the last 2 weeks. In order to play you can check out openning a brokerage account at Bangkok Bank or Kasikorn Bank.
