My trading has kind of taken of lately and I now want to up my account size to £10k. I currently have a £1000 account with Oanda which is doing good but they don't guarantee that your funds will be secure if they go under.
Being a UK resident I woul rather open the £10k account with a spread betting company. I just need help on the following questions:
1) If the spread betting company were to go under would my £10k be safe? I think they have an agreement with FSA or something like that. Just wondering if anyone could enlighten me
2) Based on my crazy hours at work, I can only trade during the Asian Session. Which spread betting firm will allow you to place orders at 2am GMT. from my undertsnading most of them shut shop at 9pm dont they?
3) Spread betting firms like FXCM offer price per pips in 10 000 units and so on. I would like to trade with a good firm that offers price per pip in £/point.
I would be grateful if anyone could make reccomendations especially those guys that have over £5k account and have been trading with the same spread betting firm.
