SII Foundation

Hi

I work as a technical analyst in the city of London. I am looking to do the SII certification. On the Introduction to SII Qualifications page. am I reading this correctly that the foundation (Introduction to Investment: The Foundation Qualification) is recommended to do the SII certificate?

What is the usual route taken by people?

Also, is reading the workbook (Introduction to Investment Qualification)the best place to start?

No, the foundation level is if you are completely new to the industry and is not a requirement. Just jump to Unit 1,2 and 3.

In certificates, is Unit 1 mandatory before any other units can be done. or do people do it along with unit 2/3/4..

There's no specific order in which you have to do them. As soon as you have collectively passed Unit 1 + either unit 2 or 3 the SII will send you your certificate.
