I'm trying to decide between TS8 and eSignal - my main requirement is an easy way of setting up study alerts, such as when MA's cross each other, RSI hits 20, etc. I need different rules for about 30 different instruments, so don't want to have 30 charts open 
eSignal seems to be quite complicated in this regard and it looks like you have to edit the script language just to get a study alert: how easy is it to do something like this in TS8 ?? I believe you can just switch it on or off but would I have to do any programming in order to generate an alert when, say, an MA10 crosses an MA30 ??
[By programming, I mean reading heavy textbooks and then editing a cryptic language]
