If you have no reserved price, then you're lucky to get 50 quids. And the bid ended in mid afternoon, a time not many people go to eBay to 'shop'. It's like Wednesday afternoon at Tesco.

My wife bought some of her shoes on eBay for just a little more than 1 quid plus postage. I

If you have no reserved price, then you're lucky to get 50 quids.

I'd disagree with this actually, I've always found that if you place a reserve you invariably get a lot fewer bids - people generally dont bother to bid if they dont know they are going to win, i know I dont - if theres a few auctions for the same thing, one with a reserve and one without, I know which one I'd be bidding on.

And I agree with you.

I said 'lucky' in the context that you may as well have been able to win at 50 pence if there's just one bid. It does happen.
