Question about the difference between technicals on a stock chart vs. a futures chart

Today, I went to stock charts.com to look at the technicals on the 3 major U.S. indices. I then went to futuressource.com to view the same charts. The RSI's were identical but the CCI numbers varied greatly between the two. The closing prices were the same so this makes no sense to me at all. Why the vast difference and which one is more accurate, the stock chart of the indice or the futures chart? TIA

Yes. I would assume so. Is this the reason for the discrepency? Still, it is a tough call as to which chart produces the more accurate indicator data.

Could very well be, especially for indicators that are based on ranges and not just strictly closing price. There is often bigger ranges when factoring in overnight trading than that see just during exchange hours.
