QQQQ Analysis in Multiple Timeframes

Has anyone managed to produce a genuinely printer-friendly version of this without all the charts gaily skipping all over the shop?

Advice appreciated.

Yes. Printing directly to printer it truncates left, bottom and top of charts depending on where they are on the page break and if a cut & paste to a Word doc, they really are all over the place.

possible fix

Printing HTML documents is often problematic. Here is one method I use to ensure that I control how a page prints.

  1. Each printer page is a separate .htm file
  2. Each .htm file has a table command that encloses everything except the header information.
  3. The table has one table row, one table data, and the width is 650, border=0.
  4. Drop any javascript pop up commands. These are the 'printer friendly' pages, so the user has specifically requested this so they can print. They don't need access to anything except this page, a link to the next printable page, a link to the home page, and a link to return them to the article they were reading before they chose the printer friendly version.
  5. All images are sized with a width specified that will fit within the table.
  6. Confirm that the text and images within the table will easily fit on a single printed page .

Hope this helps.

Another option

convert the file to a .pdf (but that's a pain for the user if they don't have the adobe reader, or if they don't have the current version) JO

sorry if this is off topic..not sure if i should start another thread-new here
-im trying to post annotated charts from stockcharts.com but the link may be too long
http://stockcharts.com/def/servlet/SC.web?c=qqqq simple chart w/ MA's

this is the annotated chart that may have a problem with link length

also wondering if there is a message board or chatroom at T2W that post intraday stocks that are moving or coming out of intraday flags using 5minute charts using technical analysis?

In word you can quicly format each graph to have a layout of "left on the page" (left click on picture). Then they will automatically jump to the correct place.

Erm...tired both left and right click.

Left clck just gives me the 4-way pointer.

Right click gives me the 'normal' options, but no 'left on the page'.

(a) What am I doing wrong?

(b) What are you smoking?

(c) Sod the graphs - pass the smoke....
