According to this website, Good Friday & Easter Monday are public holidays within the UK/EU, but not in the USA.

Does this mean that there will be an absolute minimum of, or NO GBPUSD & EURUSD spot forex price activity until the USA trading desks open at around 1300 BST on these days?

Many thanks.

PS. Friday is NFP day in the USA, but if there is no trading activity in Europe, this wil have some effect on volume etc......

Low volume should create trading opportunities!

Hi Marwan, yes, it often does.

But i'm just thinking that if all the European based (inter) banks are on holiday, there is no reason for any EURUSD & GBPUSD price activity from 0800 BST until 1300.
The Asian markets will be closing soon after the European "open" time, therefore where will any price activity originate from between 0800-1300 UK time, B4 the US open?

Many thanks.

In any event, I've just realised my broker is xlosed all day Friday, and all of Monday morning, so I'll not be trading anyway!

Yup, what kind of outfits are these places? I thought 'lunch is for wimps' etc applied to FX retail buckets also.

Easter Holidays are for wimps too, you slackers!! :D

Not if you've been working on average 8 hours per day, 7 days per week since new year!
