"Predicting" here simply means an implementation of cycles and advanced timing and volume techniques to make an assessment of the likely future course of securities in the portfolio. As a result one can get more accurate entries and exits, less risk in portfolios and more gain (and surely less pain).
I do recommend filter all this through your trading system and use if you agree with what I am presenting here.
